DSS isolation Module

The DSS Isolation Module is an ideal accessory for integrating all DSS Smart Sensors with your PLC, SCADA or Data Acquisition System.  Direct integration of a DSS sensor into your data acquisition system requires the provision of fully isolated power and signal inputs for the sensor to operate correctly. Often noisy power systems or poor electrical installations can result in erratic pH or ORP values, which usually points to some kind of isolation issue. The TT-MA-DSS-IM Isolation Module simultaneously provides isolated and regulated power for your sensor and signal isolation ensuring smooth and stable operation. 

For system integrators, it has a number of added benefits. In addition to power and signal isolation it provides:

• A local display for operators as well as troubleshooting. Often values observed at the PLC, don't match values observed locally at the sensor due to scaling or other input issues on the data side. 
• The unit acts simultaneously as both a master and slave. It acts as a master to the sensor and a slave to your PLC.  This is a very unique function and has some profound implications for ease of use. Each TT-MA-DSS-IM unit can have its own unique node address on your MODBUS network, while each sensor can retain its default node address without re-assignment... meaning operators never need to change the node address of a sensor.  It is the most simplified form of plug-and-play functionality. 
• The Isolation Module passes through the sensor signal (MODBUS RTU) direct to the PLC on the defined node address; or
• You have the option of using the scaleable 4-20mA output 

This versatile and convenient device is a highly praised implementation tool by many of our system integrators as it solves a lot of minor localised issues that arise with 3rd party devices and troublesome electrical systems.
