The Turtle Tough Wastewater pH & ORP sensor is unlike anything the wastewater market has ever seen before. This space has been dominated by glorified lab electrodes being passed off as industrial units and expectations of performance and serviceability are generally low. The Turtle Tough Wastewater pH & ORP Sensor will challenge those expectations with its unique formulation to resist fouling, dehydration and provide a service life well beyond those competitors.
Continuous monitoring of wastewater presents many challenges across the mining and manufacturing industries. For many facilities, inconsistent flows mean that sensors can dry out if not installed correctly, causing premature failures and ruining measurements. Additionally, there are often contaminants in wastewater that will interfere with accurate measurements such as grease or oils that clog references and other components that will coat the measurement elements of sensors.
Turtle Tough sensors are specifically designed for your individual wastewater monitoring requirements. The dehydration resistant option allows sensors to be left dry for very long periods of time and still respond instantly and dynamically on re-entry to the solution. This solution has been a huge windfall for manufacturers with batch processes or variable wastewater flows, reducing sensor failure and man-hours spent removing and changing sensors. Coat resistant sensor elements and general physical strength allow for strong mechanical cleaning of sensors that have been fouled by an inorganic material or surface coatings, further increasing sensor lifetime in the field.
This sensor is available with our digital smart sensor technology. This plug and play sensor has a quick connect fitting, eliminating the need for hard wiring to the analyser. Onboard sensor memory allows the storage of calibration data, analyser configurations and sensor service history. This allows the sensor to be conveniently maintained and calibrated off-site or in the laboratory and pre-programmed with calibration data and analyser configurations. This stored information automatically uploads to the analyser upon connection and eliminates the need for any interaction with the analyser, greatly simplifying the change-out of sensors. A service log stored on the sensors is ideal for maintenance and quality assurance records.
